Carol and I thought we saw one yesterday during the Bedford/Sackville CBC.
It was by Hwy 103 flying over the lake below the Bowater dam. We jumped out
of the car but it had disappeared behind the trees.

I would expect the osprey to have gone south by this time of the year, but I
saw one this morning. It flew out from the area behind the light house
museum and was headed out to Barrington Bay. There has been an osprey nest
back in that area for a number of years. We are getting rain today, and the
snow has pretty well all disappeared.
One morning a couple of weeks ago I saw two crows harassing a medium
sized owl. It was too far away to identify the owl so I did not report it,
but the thought has remained with me because it is the first time for many
years that I have seen crows after an owl.

Roland.
