A few birds I have seen locally in the last few days ---

During and after the weekend storm, our backyard feeders were very busy,
with large numbers of the usual Blue Jays, N.Juncos, White-throats,
B-C.Chickadees, the odd Hairy and Downy Woodpecker, 1 N.Flicker, a few
Am.Goldfinch.

Also in the area over the last few days -
Several ad. male N.Harriers, + 1 F. along Middle Dyke Rd.

Usual crowd of Red-tails and Bald Eagles

1 Merlin, Canning

1 rather pathetic-looking G.B.Heron on the iced over Canard Pond

8 Purple Sandpipers (and very little else), Port George this morning

1 Pileated Woodpecker flew over the 101 near Kingston late today.

50+ Horned Larks and a few Snow Buntings, Starr's Point

Several small flocks of Common Redpoll

Tree and Savannah Sparrows in the roadside weeds

                    Keep looking!

Richard
