Hello everyone, a friend of mine was at the Frog Pond, Fleming Park, today at 3:30 pm and while on the board walk (SE coiner) noticed a pair of birds eating Canada holly fruit. This fellow is a pretty good birder and stood there watching for a while trying to ID them with the naked eye. He did get a photo, probably not good. they were plump and big like R.dove or Blue jays, tail was dark/black with a bit of a v. Bill was short, pointed and to the naked eye looked yellow. The forehead and crown were brown and the breast was greyish. The wings had faint bars. They kept feeding even thou walkers were passing by quite close. Anyone have any ideas.. Heather Drope
