Hi there,

Bob MacDonald, Suzanne Borkowski and I spent part of the day in the
Onslow area enjoying the Wild Goose Show. Many thanks to those who
helped spot the birds and those who generously shared their
scopes! In addition to the birds already reported by Clarence
Stevens, the immature Red-headed Woodpecker was seen briefly at house
#130 McWilliams Road at about 3:45 p.m. It flew strongly across the
cornfield towards a line of trees at the back of the adjacent
farm. We went up several residential side roads parallel to
McWilliams to try to relocate the bird, without success.

	Cheers,

	Patricia L. Chalmers
	Halifax
