On a drive from Westport to Digby this morning I saw hundreds of Juncos =
along the entire stretch of Hwy 217. On the way back I tried to estimate =
#'s and came up with at least 1000. Brier Island is covered with them as =
well. They are in every driveway and roadside. I also took notice and =
had to stop and backtrack to count a flock of least 27 bufflehead on =
Lake Midway, Digby Neck. 1st time I have seen them there. We usually =
have some overwinter here around the island but in small numbers, so =
this was a surprise.
