Forgot to  mention in my last posting that the Canada Geese in the Truro area today were 
mostly our local Branta canadensis canadensis or derivatives of them, but there were some 
darker, smaller birds, likely B. c. interior - I estimated that about 5% of the flocks were the 
latter (and a good way of getting one's eye in for a Cackling Goose).
