The adult white Snow goose is still present at Big Pond with Canada =
Geese. I saw an American Bittern there, too. At southern point, a nice =
Caspian tern perched on the rocks.

Yesterday there was app.200 dc cormorants in the harbor. They were =
concentrated in one bunch early in the morning, then dispersed =
throughout the harbor feeding. Many have been migrating over the island =
the past week. I presume this flock decided not to fly against the SE =
gales we had friday night/sat morning. Late Sat. afternoon when the wind =
shifted to the west, the cormorants flew up in small groups, flew over =
the houses, regrouped and headed west. It was quite a show.

There are still lots of white crowned sparrows here after the fallout a =
week ago. Lots of YR warblers. Other warblers, too, but it has been windy =
for days and hard to get a good look at them. We have westerly gales =
here today.

FYI
