Angus and I saw a Dowitcher in basic plumage at Windsor sewage plant late
this afternoon. It had a prominent dark cap, a prominent dark gray breast
that seemed well demarcated from the pale belly, and definite barring on the
flanks. The bill seemed long, but that's a hard call. At one point we heard
a sharp chi.chi.chi..... type rapid call that would do for a LBDO, but
weren't totally certain it was coming from that bird. The problem was that
the bird was in poor light, and was on the far side of the pond, so a long
way away even for our scopes. In addition there were 3 more Dowitchers that
were about 100m. farther along, and were much too far away to attempt to ID
as to species. Other birds there included Bl-B. Plovers, G-W Teal, 1 Blue-W.
Teal.

At Grand Pre we just saw Sanderling, Dunlin, W-Rumps, Semi. Sands and Plover
and Bl-B. Plover.
