This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_EsbOC/oPpAgSfip9gXt7lg) Content-type: multipart/alternative; boundary="Boundary_(ID_fg4ZQXTBxQ4aBHUDUKviMA)" --Boundary_(ID_fg4ZQXTBxQ4aBHUDUKviMA) Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT All are invited to view about 20 photos of dragonflies and damselflies I've taken over the past few months in various locations -- Halifax, Cape Breton, Fredericton, and Nebraska. The gallery is only in its infancy. Using A Field Guide to Dragonflies and Damselflies of Massachusetts (new edition just published this year) -- a book once recommended on this listserv -- I've tried to identify the species, and am quite sure of the identity of a few, including Chalk-fronted Corporal, Twelve-spotted Skimmer, and Common Whitetail. In other cases, the family of species seems clear -- Meadowhawk, Darner, Bluet -- but the specific species I'm having difficulty figuring out. Help from those with expertise in odonates would be appreciated. Is there another book I should use as a supplement to the Massachusetts one? Even those with little interest in these insects might like to take a gander at photos of a kind of red Meadowhawk caught in their "mating wheel" position in Pt. Pleasant Park. cheers, Brian You are invited to view Brian's photo album: Dragonflies & Damselflies Dragonflies & Damselflies Sep 10, 2007 by Brian View Album Play slideshow Message from Brian: If you are having problems viewing this email, copy and paste the following into your browser: http://picasaweb.google.com/bbartlett53/DragonfliesDamselflies?authkey=JquSuuPy8js To share your photos or receive notification when your friends share photos, get your own free Picasa Web Albums account. --Boundary_(ID_fg4ZQXTBxQ4aBHUDUKviMA) Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable =EF=BB=BF<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; charset=3Dutf-8"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2900.3157" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY style=3D"FONT-FAMILY: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; = BACKGROUND-COLOR: white"=20 bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=3D2> <DIV=20 style=3D"MARGIN-TOP: 0.2em; FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 9pt; COLOR: = #333">All=20 are invited to view about 20 photos of dragonflies and damselflies I've = taken=20 over the past few months in various locations -- Halifax, Cape Breton,=20 Fredericton, and Nebraska.
