I had the opportunity to check several flocks of semipalmated sandpipers up close on Sunday in Grand Desert HRM.  Nothing to special, but I find it noteworthy that the flocks consisted entirely of juvenile individuals (identified by plumage details).  Looks like this wave is passing through right now.
