Hope springs eternal - but it was misplaced, and today's NSBS field trip to Cherry Hill
Beach had to be cancelled because of fog and heavy rain. My apologies to the few hardy
souls who showed up this morning to see if it was still on.

Although the original announcement specified a rain day of Sunday, I will not be able to lead
a trip tomorrow. If there are people going to Cherry Hill then, the tide is high about 1pm.
This means that most of the morning should be good for shorebirds as the rising water
concentrates birds on the flats near the entrance to the marsh.
