Naturalists Club will present the "Conservation of the Endangered Loggerhead Shrike - bringing back the Butcher Bird in Eastern Canada" by Sarah Fraser. This will be in the program room of the New Glasgow Library at 7:00 p.m. Sarah is a native of Merigomish and a graduate of the St. FX Biology Program and has worked on the St. Mary's River Wood Turtle project. While at graduate school she became interested in a project aimed at rehabilitation the Loggerhead Shrike population in Quebec and Ontario. The status of this bird is endangered by the Committee on the status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada and Sarah will speak on the decline of the population and efforts to bring the population back.
