class --Apple-Mail-13-501242613 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Hi Angus, A few notes: 1) the "Tachinid Fly sp." is probably a species in the genus Nowickia, likely either Nowickia algens (Wd.) or else Nowickia pilosa (Toth). The other possibility is a species in the genus Archytes, likely A. aterrimus (RD), but I think the former genus is more likely. 2) With respect to "Sawfly - Tenthredo sp." I agree with David McCorquodale and nafensler that this is a wasp. The banded appearance doesn't resemble any species in the Tenthredinindae that we have in the Museum, nor does the overall habitus resemble the tenthredinids that I'm familiar with. I think it may be in another family of wasps. 3) The "Wasp - Astata sp." could be this genus (we have one specimen of Astata sp. here in the Museum determined by Larry Packer), but it also bears a resemblance to a Dryudella sp. (also determined by Larry Packer) so without knowing how to seperate these genera I would say that they are both possible (no specimens of Diploplectron in the collection). Cheers!
