Dear All, Aug 6, 2007
On Tuesday, July 30 (about 11:00 a.m.), just as I was reaching
Kentville from Centreville, I saw a large turtle (~3 dm long carapace)
with long legs, that held the carapace probably >1 dm above the
pavement, and a long tail very broad at the base. It was heading from
pavement to sidewalk in a stiff legged way; a bit north of the road to
Camp Aldershot.

I was running late so did not stop but think it must have been a
Snapping Turtle.

Yt, Dave Webster, Kentville
