Hi Paul & All, June 30, 2007 While some of us may make fun of vagrant ideas (those without visible means of support) from to time, I don't think anyone on this list ever tries to have fun at the expense of another list member. And just having fun with a play on words or fractured logic is entirely impersonal. For example, the statement that 'This morning I met a man with a wooden leg named Smith' isn't making fun of people with wooden legs, or people named Smith. And if Mary Poppins is banned from HRM it will have nothng to do with wooden legs but that song about feeding the birds, which any day now will be criminal behavior in HRM. But more than likely the movie will be banned in Atlantic Canada once the local Natural Resources staff notices Mary and her friend interfacing with Penguins; people letting their dog adopt baby rabbits and nursing a baby Moose back to health is just awful-- but interfacing with a Penguin in a Disney movie ? E-mail messages tend to be brief (and sometimes not brief) into which some may read annoyance etc. And they tend not to be proof read and the vital wrap-up gets scrambled, etc. But it beats any other form of long-distance communication. Let us be thankful for what we have Yt, Dave Webster, Kentville
