Hi All Last evening while walking above Kedy's Landing to check some this for the Dunamite Trail we found an old log in the river. Looked like a red spruce but we didn't do a close examination. It was prehaps 40 cm in diameter and 5 m in length. It had been a good log. On side just above the butt end were blased the initially "V U K". Does anyone know what these might mean? The area has many blackberry canes and they are loaded with blossom. Several folks have mentioned about that. I was talking with a fruit farmer and he told me that he had stopped using domestic bees about 10 years ago - because of the possibility of disease. He said there was no noticeable drop in fruit yields and lots of bees. Sounds like he made a smart move. Enjoy the summer Paul ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better Globetrotter. Get better travel answers from someone who knows. Yahoo!
