Meloe angusticollis Say is widely distributed across the province,
and there are records of Meloe impressus Kirby from various parts of
mainland NS (but not Cape Breton). There is only one record of Meloe
dianellus Pinto & Selander (from Guysborough County) and only one of
Meloe niger Kirby (from Kings County), so more research in Nova
Scotia on these fascinating beetles would certainly be welcome! :->

Cheers!

Chris
