This is certainly the time of year when the first monarch arrivals from the
south occur. Jim in Wolfville

Don Davis at Journey North <http://www.learner.org/jnorth/monarch/>
maintains a record of first sightings of Monarch butterflies, and he's
interested in receiving your observations. At his request, I'm forwarding
this to NatureNS:

Thanks for the reminder.

Last Saturday, May 26, my brother and some buddies biked the railroad trail
from Liverpool to Summerville. He told me he had a very good look at a
monarch floating lazily along. To my "Are you sure?" he replied "Yes," and
assured me he can tell the difference between a monarch and a viceroy!
