Hi Jim et al,

I"m wondering if you really meant Red-berried Elder or Scarlet Elder, rather 
than Red Elderberry which usually flowers much later in the season?  The 
former is in bloom at numerous locations in Halifax just now but perhaps 
your spring is that much more advanced than ours.
