The Red-eyed Vireos have returned and as per usual began singing immediately. One Alder Flycatcher was present but silent. At home in Portuguese Cove for the second consecutive year we have Winter Wren singing. That extra foot or two in tree growth is all that it took to encourage this musical dynamo to call this area home. I've posted some photo highlights from this morning #78-85, starting with a beaver, followed by Common Loon and ending with Hairy Woodpeckers feeding young.
