The regular monthly meeting of the Blomidon Naturalists Society will be=20=

will be Ken Meade with a presentation on The Black River Hydro System=20
and Fish Management Strategies. The presentation will provide an=20
overview of the Nova Scotia Power=92s operations on the Gaspereau-Black=20=

River system, and the specific measures that are in place for=20
protection of multiple fish species and fish habitat.=A0These include=20
state-of-the-art monitoring facilities, a working relationship with the=20=

Department of Fisheries and Oceans for recovery of the endangered=20
Atlantic salmon (specifically=A0the Live Gene Banking program),=20
and=A0working=A0with=A0several groups including the Kings County =

Association and the Gaspereau River Advisory Committee. Ken=A0is the=20
