Wed. - May 9 / 07 - Palmeter's Woods:

What a gorgeous spring day!

Spent just over an hour in these woods this morning and found the woodland
birds tuning up with spring song.

Least Flycatcher - 7, N Waterthrush - 2, Black-and-white Warbler - 2,
Ovenbird - 2, N. Parula - 2,

Bl-thr Green Warbler - 1, Blue-headed Vireo - 5, Rose-br Grosbeak - 1,
Golden-cr. Kinglet - 1, Hermit Thrush - 3,

Eve. Grosbeak - 1, and Yellow-rumped Warbler - everywhere!

Abundant: A. Robin , N. Flicker, Blk-cap. Chickadee, A. Goldfinch, Wh-thr.
Sparrow, and Song Sparrow.

This year's Spring Count on Saturday could be a most interesting one.

Cheers
Judy Tufts
