If you could collect one of these June Bug for the Museum that would
be great. There are three species in the genus Phyllophaga found in
Nova Scotia, and I don't have records of any of them from either
Inverness or Richmond counties. Being able to confirm which species
is found there would be very helpful.

Just a note to all Nature NS subscribers: even specimens of common
species of beetles from around the province can be very helpful in
terms of our ongoing research on the biodiversity and distribution of
beetles in Nova Scotia. For instance of the ~ 2,350 species of
beetles found in the province, only 184 have been recorded in
Richmond County and only 254 from Shelburne County, the two least-
known areas of the province in terms of their beetle fauna.
Antigonish, Digby, and Yarmouth counties are also relatively poorly
represented.

If you find interesting specimens (or even common species) please let
me know. I'd be very happy to see or receive specimens.

Best wishes,

Chris
