Highlight of our NSBS/BNS field trip today was, among a flock of 80+ mixed
tree and barn swallows, was a definite male PURPLE MARTIN, seen eventually
by most of the 15 or so people, at Harris' Pond in downtown Canning (just a
couple hundred metres northwest of the two Gibson properties, and north of
the main road into the business part of Canning.
