Hey everyone!

Beautiful weather out there.

My local Crows Nest has been taken over by a pair of (noisy)
Merlins. The crows are finally starting to put up a fight about it,
but it looks like the Merlins are going to win this one. What a
noisy bunch of birds. Should be an interesting spring around here.

If anyone wants to check up on this pair here are the directions.
The nest is at the end of Birchdale Ave (Last left at bottom of
Coburg Rd in Halifax). Birchdale is just a block long and ends in a
pair of gates. Just before the gates is a free standing double
garage. If you stand in front of the garage looking behind it you
will see two large Pine Trees ( and one spruce behind them). The
pine on the Right has the crows nest. Looking at that tree it is
near the top on the left hand side. The nest is hard to see and
there is no angle that seems much better then the other. You should
be able to HEAR them starting very, very, early in the morning. <smiles>

Cheers,

Ann M.
