Dear All, Apr 22, 2007
Today, near the Kentville pond just east of the running track, Draba
verna was in flower and early seed and Common Horsetail (Equisetum
arvense) cones along the rail bed were nearly ready to shed spores.

Backswimmers (Notonectidae) were very active on and around the pond,
flying in and crash landing on the water, chasing each other and
engaging in either turf wars or very rapid action couplings.

Yt, DW, Kentville
