All:

Fritz McEvoy kindly forwarded some pics taken Saturday by Lisa Dixon of a male
"Oregon" Junco and still present today at White Point, between Dingwall and
Neil's Harbour, in Victoria Co., CB.

Furthermore, it appears to be of the far-northwestern subspecies oreganus, from
its reddish-brown back, which I believe has not been confirmed by photo or
specimen here. (Photographed ones have been most like the less rufous-backed
Rockie Mt. race montanus.)

If anyone wants to attempt the trip to see the bird, Lisa Dixon's number is:
383-2105 and her email is: <seaangel@ns.sympatico.ca>. White Point is
certainly a Land's End site, and who knows what else might be found there.

Cheers, Ian McLaren
