Evening presentation of Halifax Field Naturalists:

ANIMAL COMUNICATION - THURSDAY 5 APRIL

Animals are increasingly exposed to noise as urban areas spread into once
wild habitat. Increasing noise levels can be of particular concern for
species that communicate using acoustic signals such as songs or calls.
This talk "Can You Hear Me Now? How Amimals Communicate in a Noisy World"
by Dalousie Biology Professor, Dr. Marty Leonard, will describe the types
of noise that animals face and discuss some of the ways in which they
might cope with noise in their environment.

7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History,
1747 Summer Street, Halifax

Everyone welcome!
