Field trip organised by The Halifax Field Naturalists:

HIKING THE BLUFF TRAIL - SATURDAY 14 APRIL

Come and join us for hiking the shortest of the four loops of The Bluff
Trail. We may have a leader who was involved in the development of the
trail system, and who will introduce us to its flora and fauna. Maps of
the Bluff system are available at the Trail Shop in Halfax, and on the
Bluff Trail website http://www.wrweo.ca/trailmaps.html. Each of the four
loops takes about 3-4 hours to hike if you are stopping to pay attention
to the plant life. Bring suitable footwear (hiking boots), water, and a
snack.

Contact:	Ingrid and Burkhard Plache 475-1129 or
 		hfn.programme@gmail.com
Time/Place:	Meet at 1:00 p.m. at the trail's parking lot. To get
there turn onto Exit 4 from Hwy 103, then onto St.
Margaret's Bay Road (old Rte 3) heading back toward
Halifax. Travel 2 km to Bay Self Storage on the right.
The Bluff Trail parking lot is immediately after that.
Duration:	3-4 hours
Difficulty:	Moderate. Expect narrow, hilly paths with signs only at
 		trail junctions

Everyone welcome!
