March 31, 2007 - A few days ago a male FLICKER took a liking to the metal
cone at the top of our chimney. He drums on the metal and also calls from
the same place.

We hadnąt seen our two CARDINALS since we returned from B.C. on May 18. But
today the female appeared in our bird-house feeder, and at 2:30 there was a
loud repetitive SONG from a cardinal, hopefully the male? (both sexes
apparently can sing), heard just outside our back yard.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville, 542-9204
