Hi Jamie,

I have had 2 ducks admitted in the past month with frostbitten feet..and I
am assuming they were frozen to something by the patterns of dead tissue.
Luckily both only had partial foot damage and after surgery did fine and
were released

Riding down 101 to Hfx 0700 Monday at Stillwater a small duck was frozen
into the ice - must have got caught in an overnight freeze.

Two Crows were pulling at it and the ice was covered in feathers and small
body parts as they appeared to be pulling it apart while still alive but
unable to escape. Very sad.
