It is still relatively quiet in this area. Today at Cherry Hill Beach the only sign of spring
was a bright Ipswich Sparrow. The Red Knots appear to have moved on, the last one
seen on March 12.

At Broad Cove the first Killdeer appeared March 18, calling as it flew over the beach,
but then continuing on; also heard by Shirley Cohrs. Perhaps it is the same one
James Hirtle saw on Saturday at Dublin Shore. Common Grackles just reached here
on Friday and so far only one Red-winged Blackbird is singing.

At Crescent Beach there are still five Purple Sandpipers and 11 Dunlin. There were
at least 150+ Black Scoters tightly rafted in that area.
