Field trip organised by Halifax Field Naturalists:

HERRING COVE BACKLANDS II - SATURDAY 10 MARCH

Join us for another interesting walk through the Herring Cove Backlands,
nestled between Herring Cove Road and Purcell's Cove Road just outside the
old city of Halifax. This walk will explore different places from those
explored in November. If the temperature is above zero expect very wet
spots and expect to walk through boggy sections; if it is very cold, those
areas may be frozen and easier to traverse. Please wear suitable clothing
and footwear for the weather conditions and terrain. For information on
this proposed wilderness area, go to
http://www.publicland.ca/herringcovebacklands.html. Please pre-register
so you can be notified if the trip is rescheduled.
