Hi All
Today BB and I drove over to the Valley, Port Williams
being the farthest point.
Salmontail River was quite ice free at the road,
looked good to paddle. Has anyone any experience
paddling this brook? How far can you go easily before
having to stop?
A pair of eagles were bathing in a pond near the Port
Williams parking area. Looks like a snow melt pond.
They were making the water fly. Often birds bath while
nesting. Some say to moisting the eggs. Likely other
reasons, in my opinion. Nevertheless I think it would
be a little early for eggs yet.
No Black Back Gulls at the site of their nesting
colony at Gaspereaux Lake. Shouldn't be a long wait
befor ethey return.
Enjoy the late winter
Paul
