At 6:25 p.m. here, out my back window I can see the rising eclipsing Moon just above the Acadia Univ. buildings, in the beautifully clear sky, and at the same time my male Cardinal showed up for his dusk feeding. Cheers from Jim ---------- From: Roy Bishop <roy@xcountry.tv> Date: Sat, 03 Mar 2007 15:20:09 -0400 Subject: Eclipse !! Reminder: Total lunar eclipse this evening !!!!! The Moon rises partly in the umbra at 6:00 p.m., 80 degrees east of north. Totality begins at 6:44 p.m. and ends at 7:57 p.m. You will need a very low eastern horizon, and binoculars. I plan to be at the Horton Bluff Lighthouse. There is a strip of cloud over southern N.B. Perhaps it will stay away until mid evening? Roy
