All:

Having not heard anything about the weekend's Sewer Stroll, I thought I'd
mention two birds within that outing's ambit.

Have others noticed the numbers of HOODED MERGANSERS around Metro in the last
week or so? I've seen groups of 3-10+ at Sambro, Purcells Cove, in the NW Arm
and off Pt. Pleasant Park, Dartmouth Cove, and Eastern Passage.

On Sunday, 18 Feb., Bernice McLaren and I spotted one still lively PINE WARBLER
dashing around with a chickadee flock. This one seems to have taken tips from
the chickadees and was gleaning bark and needles on the move. May not be hooked
on suet somewhere.

Cheers, Ian McLaren
