Hello Members of the N.S. Bird Society! The 2006 tallies are in! The results will be published in your next issue of NS Birds. For 2007 I'm asking members to keep a yard list! Rules: Only birds seen (or heard) since Jan.1st 2007 count. The boundaries are - anything you can see or hear from your yard: flying overhead; landing in your neighbour's yard, or across the street - if you can see it (with binoculars or scope) or hear it - you can count it! Get out this spring and plant lots of native, berry-bearing shrubs, trees, and flowers that attract birds. Put out a bird bath. Make your yard as attractive as possible. Put up feeders if you're so inclined. Send your tallies in after Dec. 31st, 2007 - and I'll let you know who's got the best yard in Nova Scotia. Cheers; Suzanne Borkowski President Nova Scotia Bird Society __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
