I've found Boreal Chickadees to be erratic in abundance and distribution.
This winter in Antigonish and Pictou counties, I have seen them more
regularly than in other recent years. I rarely see more than one or two at a
time.

Hi,

One person's observation - this winter, with 4 Xmas Counts , often in
appropriate habitat, + a visit to Guysborough Co., also in appropriate
habitat, + various walks in the woods, I have yet to see one. No doubt
they're more common somewhere, though.
