Hi All BB and I went for a walk this morning on the section of the Dynamite Trail that has been surfaced with a test surface. This is between the Clearland Road in Mahone Bay and extends maybe 500 m towards the Mushamush bridge. The trail is multipurpose. The product used for the test is a mixture of Class A Gravel and ground up roofing shingles from the land fill site. From memory the material is 50 - 50 each. The roofing shingles have been put into landfill for many years. Most have been exposed to the weather for up to 25 years so shouldn't pose any hazards at this time. The surface is nice to walk on and has stood the recent wet weather well. No pot holes. Looks like good footing for horses also. The white pines along the side of the trail that grown since the railway was abandoned. The branches are starting to meet - in a few years it will be like walking through the woods. Have a nice winter Paul __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
