Hello All,

I have just spent a most exciting half hour watching a Peregrine atop
Alderney Manor devour a Rock Dove. I had wonderful views of it through
my new toy - a spotting scope - and comparing it with Sibley, I would
say that the bird was an adult of the Pacific race/subspecies, as it
had very little white on its face.

After eating its fill, the bird eventually took off and flew up the
harbour in the direction of Bedford Basin.

Merry Christmas All!

Pat McKay
