We amongst many errands today I did some frenzied birding, with results of 27 species. The list is as follows: Mallard Red-breasted Merganser Hooded Merganser Common Merganser American Black Duck Green-winged Teal (12 birds with six males and six females). These birds were at Conrads Island Beach, Lower Rose Bay. Canada Goose Common Raven American Crow Herring Gull Greater Black-backed Gull Ring-billed Gull Bonaparte Gull 14 at Conrads Island Beach, Lower Rose Bay. Black-headed Gull 2 at Back Harbour, Lunenburg Rock Pigeon Morning Dove Northern Flicker Red-tailed Hawk (along Mason's Beach perched in a tree beside the road) American Tree Sparrow White-throated Sparrow Song Sparrow Dark-eyed Junco Northern Cardinal (female along the Lunenburg Back Harbour Trail) American Goldfinch European Starling Blue Jay Sandhill Crane James R.
