Anne and I found the Lunenburg Co. Sandhill Crane this morning right behind house #445, as described in James Hirtle's postings. It is an adult, apparently of the "northern" group, which is relatively small Location: from Bridgewater drive W on Hwy 3. At the Conquerall Bank Road (signed as such) turn L and proceed 2 km to the communications tower on the left. We took the road in to house #445, although the access road past the tower also gives a panoramic view of the area. Alternatively, from Hwy 331 along the LaHave River turn W at Conquerall Bank, and at the sign turn R toward Hebbville and look for the tower. Nice countryside!
