There were goodly numbers of ducks in the area yesterday with two
ring-necked ducks still at Mason's Pond. At Second Peninsula there was a
group of 38 red-breasted mergansers and 31 hooded mergansers.

Today in regards to birds, the American Coot and two female American Wigeon
were at the Fort Point Museum pond. The coot is somewheres between juvenile
and adult plumage. Far size numbers of bufflehead were here and there as
were goodly numbers of surf scoters. At Green Bay there was a flock of 45
black scoters. In Petite Riviere a group of 20 Evening Grosbeaks.
Thirty-nine species in all on a short outing with Jesse Mclean and Karine
Gautreau.
