Hi,

I was told earlier this afternoon by Declan Murphy in BWI that this is
indeed an Eagle Owl which has escaped from its owner in Shankill and
has so far eluded recapture. It has been reported to BWI on several
occasions recently and Declan repeated one such instance:

Caller: it's a big owl and it's sitting on a chimney pot.

Declan: by big, what do you mean exactly ?

Caller: it's very big really.

Declan: very big compared to what though ?

Caller: well, very very big, it's eating a cat and it's
much, much bigger !!!

. . . . . . . . So, I think we can definitely assume it's an Eagle Owl
then ;-)

Regards,

Eugene
