Hi All This morning was very nice. Warm and soft with a few showers so I went out to the woods for a few hours. A Horned Owl was calling when I got there. It was along a stillwater about 200 m from where I was sitting. At 15 minutes before sunrise it stopped calling and turned things over to the day shift. Some woodland birds dropped by to see me. A Creeper searched the trunks for food and a Kinglet searched the tips of the branches. A flock went by but I was unable to identify them. A pair of Ruffed Grouse took of as I returned to the truck. A nice morning.
