The main structural elements of our house are wood arches visible from
the interior. And yes they are hyperbolic cosine curves --cosh(x) --
with their nice architectural, mathematical, and squirreling
properties. For the non--mathematicians of us it is the curve that a
rope held by both ends upside down makes naturally, or the roman arch
with a keystone at the top. And yes, we still have that squirrel here,
today is the day.
