Hello everyone:

On Thursday I attended an information session from Glooscap Windfield.
(http://glooscapwindfield.ca) They are one of eight community-based
windfield projects in Nova Scotia that are collectively known as
Scotian Windfields. (http://www.scotianwindfields.org). Glooscap
Windfields covers Hants and Kings Counties. It was a very interesting
presentation. They are using the same provincial government program
(Community Economic Development Imvestment Funds) that was used for
Just Us Coffee.

Given the strong turnout for the recent showings in Wolfville of An
Inconvenient Truth, and the growing awareness of the dangers presented
by climate change, this is a chance to get involved and "put your money
where you mouth is" ;-)

There was an earlier presentation on Sept. 28 in Centreville. The
remaining Glooscap sessions are:

Berwick, Wednesday, Oct. 11, 7:00 PM, Berwick Lions Club
Port Williams, Thursday, Oct. 19, 7:00 PM, Port Williams Community
Centre
Kingston, Tuesday, Oct. 24, 7:00 PM, Kingston Fire Hall
Maitland, Wednesday, Nov. 1, 7:00 PM, Maitland Firehall
Mounh Uniacke, Wednesday, Nov. 8, 7:00 PM, Mount Uniacke Legion
Enfield, Thursday, Nov. 16, 7:00 PM, Enfield Legion

Five of the other windfield projects will also be holding hearing in
the coming months. You can check the web site for details, but they
also will be advertising in newspapers.
