On the way up to Brier Island on Friday, David Walmark picked out a Common Moorhen, which was a juvenile going into adult plumage. It was in a pond at Tidville, just before the Whale Cove Sign. It was not present on Sunday when we returned. There were 20 American Pipits which came into the pond area though as we looked. On the way through West Springfield on the way back on Sunday we were pleased to see four gray jays. James R. Hirtle Lunenburg
