On the way up to Brier Island on Friday, David Walmark picked out a Common
Moorhen, which was a juvenile going into adult plumage. It was in a pond at
Tidville, just before the Whale Cove Sign. It was not present on Sunday
when we returned. There were 20 American Pipits which came into the pond
area though as we looked.

On the way through West Springfield on the way back on Sunday we were
pleased to see four gray jays.
