The bird spread its wings and made it to shore = but the fish was still too large to drag up on shore - we thought it was = a large bass, which were in the river at that time. While we were canoeing the next year above Woodstock we saw an Eagle = drag a large bass up on shore. It spent a couple of days near the dead = fish.
