Apologies to naturens group, and particularly Angus, for posting a message about
wheatears that was meant for him. I was still bedazzled by a long car trip.

During that trip, outbound 21-22 Sept., Monarch Butterflies flitted by regularly
along the road from the PQ/NB border to Toronto.  I stopped counting at 110. 
Others in S. Ontario had been noting them in unusual numbers, although I don't
if know this is simply a timing with a widely synchronous brood or a measure of
higher reproductive success.
